17th Avenue Studio Winter Show

This past weekend was the 17th Avenue Winter Show. I had a great time showing both the encautic work and the "Robot" series. I really enjoy sharing the work with people, and especially the wax work , since I have not shown too much of it here in Santa Cruz county. Here are a few photos before the show.  Stay warm! xo

Butterfly Esthetics Winter Celebration Holiday Trunk Show!

Last night was the Butterfly Esthetics Winter Celebration Holiday Trunk Show, located at 1045 Water Street in Santa Cruz. I bundled up and headed down to see this work by three amazing artists. Laamsha Young, Michelle Stitz and Crystal Cristallo. As I walked up there was Asher Stern who was playing beautiful music, serenading people as they walked into this cozy spot.  Peggy Humphries greeted me right away with a beautiful smile and a sexy glass of bubbly juice. As I looked around, I saw smiling faces trying on jewelry.

Crystal Cristallo's jewelry and purse/ bags are very unique and a great quality of work. I really enjoy the different colors that are used with the bags.

I first saw the work of Laamsha Young on a friend of mine, and it was great to get to meet her in person, she is just as sweet as her creations. Blank Verse Jewerly, check it out.

Michelle Stitz was plugging away, as one of my favorite Santa Cruz artists, I always enjoy seeing her and her work. She has a distinct color palette. The large necklaces she has are just like mini paintings that you or your loved one can wear. I have been following Michelle's work since I lived in Monterey, and I am still so delighted to see her progress. If you ever have the chance, you really should get yourself, or someone you love a Michelle Stitz original!

Thank you Butterfly Esthetics for a warm Trunk Show!

CSU, Monterey Bay, President's Reception

Last night I had the honor of being included in an exhibition at the President's home of CSU, Monterey Bay. CSU, Monterey Bay has some great things in the works. This intimate show was a real celebration of art at CSUMB. I am so thankful to call CSUMB my home. I grew and learned so much there as a student, watching the university grow and develop throughout the years.

The 8x4ft Kelp Forest is still looking for a home. If you would like to check out the process of the kelp forest click HERE. Now if you would like to see it showing, click right HERE, my dear. I am looking forward to the future life of this work. It feels really great to be able to share it with more people, because, that is what it is all about!
